Below are some examples of vinyl from my own collection.
Icons from the kitchen sink era and those inspired by it.
The Facts of Life in it's black and white picture form was exclusive to Australia and indicates the poplularity of Steptoe and Son in Australia( which manifested in an Exclusive tour show in 1978) aswell as our common cultural points of reference. If you click on this link you will be provided with a tune from Harry H Corbett. Equally if you click on Wilfrid Brambells ( Albert Steptoe) lament to the Beatles ' Time Marches on', you will be presented with a tune by Pat Phoenix of Coronation St with a poetic monologue of Kitchen Sink life in all it's glory/gloom. This has been superbly provided by 45junkee. Check him out on You Tube.
