Week 4 RSS and podcasts

Once again this session was help full in terms of presentation and navigation.
I really do like the idea of being able to utilise feeds and with a bit more time, could possibly set up a stream of content, perhaps from a James Joyce website which would be like a stream of conscious, stream of content.
Unfortunately for me the links provided to podcasts were helpfull but I found nothing I wanted to embrace. Also the podcast interface was like 2 penny chewing gum, for the benefit of mass appeal. Why can't I listen to Terry Hall??????

Ghosts on Australian soil.

In keeping with the theme of this blog and having explored flickr, I thought I would upload a couple of my own images. These were taken recently in Tasmania. The first image is from Port Arthur and is the Lunatic Asylum. Apparently they used to use music as a mehod of sedation. If it were me I would choose Madness, or perhaps Fun Boy Three, The second image is from Vanashing point in Salamanca. Tried as I did, Vanish I could not, and thirdly is 'The Isle of The Dead' in Port Arthur. A final resting place for those condemned.

Week 3. You Tube

A film of enviable proportions, consciously and subconsciously this has remained a significant influence. O Lucky Man

Week 2 Wikis.

Thanks to the guidance of Carmen, I had a further exploration into the world of Wikis and as a result I was horrified by the insolence and sick humour on display from Access Support.
PS, We are not Punks. We are the flowers in your backroom.

Week 3 Flickr. My home town .

infomatique's photostream

Having briefly explored flickr, I was enthused by it's democtatic/ photographic possiblities but felt let down by it's commercial restrictions. In saying this it is content that counts and there were plenty of fine images in my short search. You Tube is something of a godsend to me as it enables me to tap into performances and interviews historic and other wise that I would only have been able to hear of/read about in previous years. It does of course pay to be selective.
